This IP68 waterproof professional 24V rgb LED Strip is designed to be installed outdoors. The PCB is protected by a silicone coating (no air inside and therefore no danger of condensation) that protects it from water splashes, moisture and dust. The IP68 waterproof rating makes the LED strip totally impermeable to liquids and allows permanent immersion. Specifically, we are talking about a maximum depth of 3 metres for more than 1 hour; moreover, protection from a jet of 10 bar pressure exerted in all directions is guaranteed.
If installed outdoors or if submerged, it is strongly recommended to install the LED strip with waterproof connectors.
This led strip can be cut every 100mm, but once the cut has been made, the waterproofness must be restored by means of the end caps included in the package and silicone (not included).
Warning! Once cut, the strip loses its Ip68 waterproof rating and becomes IP67.
This LED strip has a total power of 72W (sold in 5 metre coils) and an effective power of 14.4W per metre. The entire reel is equipped with 300 LED chips (60 LEDs/mt) model 5050.
In order to control the strip, simply connect it to a receiver/controller for RGB LED strip in radio frequency or WIFI that you will find for sale on our e-commerce. By connecting it to a WIFI receiver for single-colour led strips (not included and purchasable separately), you will also be able to manage your led strip via smartphone and/or voice assistant.
Important: The led strip must always be installed on an aluminium profile for led strips to dissipate heat and guarantee its integrity over time. Several LED strips must be connected in parallel.

? HOW TO INSTALL A 24V LED STRIP?
To ensure maximum performance in terms of light output and durability, installation on a special aluminium profile, designed for proper heat dissipation, is mandatory.
The aluminium profiles not only dissipate heat, but also protect the LED strips from dust, insects and partially from moisture.
Several LED strips must be connected in parallel.

? HOW TO CHOOSE THE POWER SUPPLY FOR YOUR LED STRIP?
LED strips must be supplied with a constant voltage power supply unit, usually with a DC symbol. For 24V LED strips, a DC 24V power supply is required.
To calculate the necessary wattage of the power supply unit to be purchased for your LED strip, simply do a simple mathematical multiplication:
" No. of metres of led strip x Watts per metre absorbed by the strip model = Necessary power of the power supply "
Attention: Always buy a power supply slightly more powerful than the result obtained, otherwise your power supply would always work at full load and you would risk burning it out.
"E.g.: You have 3 metres of 20W per metre Led strip and you want to buy a power supply, the operation to do will be this: 20W x 3mt = 60W total absorption for 3 metres of Led strip. You will therefore need a power supply of at least 100W "
Please note that 24V LED strips, powered at one end can reach a maximum length of 5 metres. To reach longer lengths it is compulsory to feed the strip at both ends or in 5m sections.
Always use a power supply with a power higher than the power of the LED strip.

To adjust the light intensity of a LED strip, a single-colour LED strip controller must be purchased and installed.
If you purchase the wifi receiver for single-colour LED strips, you can dim your LED strips via your smartphone or with voice commands via the leading voice assistants on the market.
